Moving Here

We are an organisation that is spread across a vast geographical area, and centred around our two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.

Situated in the sunny eastern coast of New Zealand's North Island, the Bay of Plenty really is just that, offering vast golden sand beaches, bush clad mountains, lush farmlands and more. Its pleasant climate means that the area has become a favourite for holiday makers, retirement and those looking for a different lifestyle outside of the main cities.

The people of the Bay of Plenty love sports and the outdoors and make the most of the recreational facilities that abound on their doorstep such as boating, surfing, fishing, diving, mountain biking and tramping, as well as the traditional team sports of rugby, netball and cricket.

And don't forget about the vibrant food and entertainment focus with cafes, live music pubs, cinemas and live theatres.

Professional Registration

In New Zealand all health professionals are required under the Health Practitioners Competence Act (HPCCA) to be registered with their professional board before they can begin to work. This ensures professional competence and protects the health and safety of our people by providing a way that all practitioners are fit to practice their professions.

This registration process can take up to four weeks to process so best to kick this off at your earliest convenience. If you also need to apply for a visa, you can only do so, once your registration is confirmed. Check out the relevant board related to your field for further information on their registration process.
